The Mulch & Compost comes from yard waste through the green bin program.

The compost available at Griffith Park is not certified organic and should not be used for growing food. It’s possible people put “bioplastic bags'“ with dog poop, which can carry diseases. The compost can’t get trusted. However, it can be used for lawns.
