30 Day Blog Challenge- Day 11: Your Favorite Childhood Book

I should preface that I didn’t enjoy reading as a kid and actually all the way until college. Growing up, I felt reading was forced upon me and I didn’t enjoy the material I was reading.

In the middle of my childhood reading rebellion, I did have a favorite childhood author. The first book I read of his and perhaps my favorite and most memorable was “The BFG” by Ronald Dahl. The Big Friendly Giant. There was something so easy to read about his writing style and it brought this warm fuzzy feeling I still remember today.

I then went ahead to read his other works.

Willy & the Chocolate Factory

James & the Giant Peach

Matilda

Not surprising at all to see his work was loved by many. These books have turned into major motion pictures that are still cherished and sometimes updated and remade.
